I have had the recent opportunity to work with Victor Acuna and Best Plasters on a large, multi-million dollar façade restoration project consisting of ten (10) buildings which had experienced substantial damage due to water intrusion. Stucco, stone and roofing needed to be removed down to framing in order to locate and repair the deteriorated structural elements prior to installing new cladding systems to replace the previous ones which had failed. Mr. Acuna’s knowledge of roofing, cladding, waterproofing and framing systems is extensive and I received a great education from him throughout the course of construction. That knowledge and experience was paramount in the success of the project. He not only has a vast knowledge of his trade, but he presents that knowledge with an infectious enthusiasm, clearly evident in the level of skill and craftsmanship that his employees possess. He has trained them well and is as critical (or more) of the finished product than I am.  

As an architect, I greatly value a member of the team taking the lead on issues and being creative in the search for solutions. Victor is a team player, who offers valuable options to help solve the issues facing the entire team, not limiting his input only to construction related issues. There is a level of trust created when working with a person of responsible intelligence. I have that trust in Victor and look forward to working with him in the future.
